There are always people in need, but come the Holiday season and the winter cold, these local families need our help even more. The communities surrounding Lawrence and the Merrimack Valley have some of the hardest working people in all of Massachusetts. Any help we can give to make this holiday season a little more comfortable will go a long way. Lawrence alone is a city with over 80,000 people and 33.1 percent are below the poverty line. You may not see it, but there are needy folks right in your backyard! The majority of those who are hungry are members of working families that are trying to make ends meet to keep a roof over their kids' heads and do not earn enough to pay for both housing and food. We are asking for your help; Hunger is here and the Hungry are all around us. You see the pleas on TV and ask if this is happening so far away, why aren't we helping those nearby. Now is your chance! NOW Through December, Commonwealth Motors will be collecting Non-Perishable Food Goods at any one of our 5 Dealerships located at 1 Commonwealth Drive in Lawrence, MA to deliver to the Cor Unum Meal Center. It really rings our bell to see fellow members of the community pull together to help those less fortunate! Together we can help our friends and neighbors!
