Welcome to the newly-created Mid Peninsula Wine Trail wineries, a concentration of eleven wineries that are augmented by craft-brewed cider (Redwood Coast Cider), two breweries (Devil's Canyon Brewing Co. and Alpha Acid), and a distillery (Old World Spirits) in the vicinity. Suddenly, San Carlos is all about tasting rooms. It was this synergy of local winemakers that led to the creation of the Mid Peninsula Wine Trail. The collection of wineries from San Carlos-Belmont- In an effort to promote the new Mid Peninsula Wine Trail, the wineries are partnering with the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce on a Holiday Wine Stroll scheduled for Sunday, December 11th from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Downtown San Carlos. Twenty merchants will open their shops as pouring locations, where nineteen boutique wineries and a craft cider brewery will showcase their varietals and blends. Some merchants will partner with local restaurants to provide light bites to nibble while you taste. There will also be a bottle booth so that wine walk participants can purchase any of the wines that are being sampled that day. Live entertainment, prizes and a festive atmosphere are all part of the Holiday Wine Stroll experience. The event ends just in time for dinner, so participants can enjoy San Carlos' well-known restaurant scene. The Holiday Wine Stroll goes on rain or shine.
