Governor Nikki Haley Proclaims 6th Annual South Carolina Week for the Animals December 3-11, 2016!

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Dec. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- Animal World USA is pleased to announce that Governor Nikki Haley has officially proclaimed the 6th Annual South Carolina Week for the Animals December 3-11, 2016!

Throughout the week, educational institutions, animal shelters, rescue groups, and humane organizations across the state will be hosting scores of exciting animal-related special events. Educators,youth, businesses and caring citizens across South Carolina will be joining in together in exciting activities to celebrate and help the amazing animals.

Events will include holiday adoption fairs, spay/neuter low cost events, holiday shelter days, R.E.A.D. dog programs in libraries, Santa pics for the shelter animals, special adoption and spotlight on Equine Rescue of Aiken Saratoga Warhorse program for the soldiers through horse therapy, farm animals activities, SC Library Days, therapy dogs visiting children's hospitals, ways to help marine animals, horse adoptions, special shelter reduced adoption fees, therapy dogs visiting living-assisted homes.

Also to be included are a salute to our working K9's, spotlight on search and rescue dogs, special adoption fees for cats, educational programs at nature centers and sanctuaries, and fun-filled festival days for families to come and enjoy food, music and the always amazing animals!
