Local Entrepreneur Announces 'Last Minute Holiday Pop-Up Shop'

MILWAUKEE - Dec. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- Last-minute holiday shoppers, rejoice: The owner of Barcelona and the new Studio Barcelona is announcing a special pop-up shop event for holiday shoppers featuring the work of several local makers.

"Last Minute Holiday Pop-Up Shop" will be held Saturday, Dec. 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Studio Barcelona, located at 5706 W. Vliet.

Lynita Wolf, jeweler and owner of Studio Barcelona, worked with fellow artist James Steeno to organize the event after realizing there were no local art shows the weekend before Christmas. Last Minute Holiday Pop-Up Shop will feature nine popular artisans, including:

- Abigail's Originals: gluten-free, decorated cookies for all occasions

- Art by Kelli: paintings, jewelry, knitware and t-shirts

- Fern & Nettle: handmade soaps and body goods

- James Steeno Gallery: art maps, art prints and water colors of places found nearby

- Lit Milwaukee: handmade soy wax-scented beer bottle, wine and liquor candles

- Lynita Wolf: jewelry

- More Than a Sparrow: functional pottery

- Plushzilla: handcrafted teddy bears and other creatures

- Zewing Girl: sewn goodies, scarves, accessories, dog collars and more

At the event, guests can purchase arts and crafts directly from each maker using cash, check or credit card. Admission is free, with free parking available on the streets nearby.

"I'm thrilled to be able to curate this special collection of beloved local artists, providing them with a space to sell their work to holiday shoppers," Wolf said. "There will be something for everyone at the Last Minute Holiday Pop-Up Shop."
