Kary Movers Expands Assistance to Food Banks This Christmas
Kary Movers of Metro Vancouver expanded to Edmonton this past summer. They not only brought a number of jobs to Edmonton but also their commitment to assisting others in the community. The company has been encouraging other companies to follow.

These reasons helped play a role in the decision to expand the company to Edmonton when they did in June. The plan to expand to Edmonton had been in the works for almost a year and a half but the economy helped move the decision closer to completion. James Cousineau, Kary Movers' Director of Marketing and Business Development was working with his twin brother who owns the company to strategically expand to this market. He has also written many articles published worldwide encouraging other companies to expand now. The object is to come in when times are tough, assist the community during the hard times and be a part of the community, leading to better times which he predicts will be in about 18-24 months. He moved to Edmonton in order to run the new offices.
Kary Movers Ltd has worked with many charitable organizations and community projects over the years in the Vancouver area. They have also brought that part of the company philosophy with them to Edmonton. "It is essential to give back to the communities which allow us the privilidge to be in business and grow." This past summer when the wildfires were at their peak in Fort MacMurray, kary Movers teamed up with Uhaul International and Canadian Relocation Specialsts to collect over 30,000 lbs of essential need items for the victims and drive them from Vancouver to Edmonton.
One of Kary Movers' long term commitments is to donate the use of a five ton truck for 5 days each Christmas season and the fuel to drive around the city collecting donations from community food drive locations such as schools, businesses etc. Kary Movers management and employees take turns through the week volunteering to drive and assist the drive in picking up from these locations and delivering goods to the food bank warehouse.
Kary Movers Ltd will be continuing this tradition this holiday season in the Surrey, BC community and are proud to announce that they have also teamed up with Edmonton's Food Bank to provide a truck, fuel and staff volunteers for aproximately 9 hours a day from December 19 - 23 this season. This is equal to almost $5500. worth of services being donated in Edmonton to help those in need this Christmas. James encourages other companies which are doing well to remember those in tough times this year.
No matter how big or how small, every donation to your local Food Bank adds up. James also owns Edmonton's Soundmax DJ Services and for anyone needing DJ services for corporate or wedding services over the next year should save their donation receipts of $25. or more to the local food bank. Present that official receipt of your donation you made directly to the Food Bank when booking DJ Services and $100. will be deducted from your DJ costs. No restrictions and no blackout dates. It is another way for companies to promote giving to those in need.
If you are having a Food Drive and require pickup of items, please contact Edmonton's Food Bank in Edmonton or the Surrey Food Bank in the Surrey community. For more information about Kary Movers Ltd. visit http://www.karymoversedmonton.com
