By: Panipat Institute Of Engineering & Technology
It was a programme on Role of Positive Mental Attitude conducted by Shri Moti Lal Verma, who is presently working in the capacity of Assistant Director Public Relations in the department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur. He is a personality who has devoted his life to research on the subject of 'Healthy Living'. Mr. Verma has devoted himself to the well being of people's health through such awareness sessions on healthy food and balanced diet. He said that living a healthy life is necessary for all, but it is very important for a teacher. He added that I say it so because we have heard that a healthy mind lives in a healthy body and a teacher is supposed to possess a healthy mind as he is the usher and guide of the young generation of the nation. Mr. Verma laid stress on green food and salads. He said that such food keeps the blood vessels clear and fit. Positivity of mind, he elaborated is a tonic for our life and keeps us fit for long. We must adopt simple living style and lead a stress free life.
Positive Mental Attitude is believe in good times during bad times and carrying a feeling of gratefulness for 'what we have' instead of lamenting about what we don't have. It is an art to create such positive feelings and actions; that we have the power to make ourselves happy and content. The secret of this art of life lies in accepting the things and not expecting the things, which we generally speak and read about. This attitude helps us to handle the biological changes as we grow in age.
Welcoming the guest Prof. (Dr) K K Paliwal, Director PIET said that it was a matter of pride for the PIET faculty team to be in the audience seat in front of a man like Sh. Moti Lal Verma, who preaches and practices the yogic life style which warrants nothing but a natural living. He added that it was a great learning session for all.
Shri Rakesh Tayal, Member BOG said that Optimistic individuals are better able to handle the changes that we all face as we age. Maintaining a PMA attitude enables people to face the challenges that go along with chronic illness and or disability He quoted the example of Capt Navin Gulia ji in this regard, who has been at the PIET stage on a couple of occasions. As a person who deals with end of life issues with a good attitude not only helps one face the challenges of living but the challenges of dying as well.
Shri Moti Lala Verma, while thanking the PIET management for providing him an opportunity to address the faculty team also spoke high about the institute for its world class infrastructure, managerial systems and discipline in all fields which, he said was visible clearly.
