| ![]() Lee Canyon Opens For 2016/17 Winter Season On Friday, Dec. 9, 2016The resort invites familiar and new faces to the mountain to help kick off its 54th winter season.
By: Lee Canyon Lift and snow tubing tickets can be purchased online, where guests can save up to 35 percent for booking in advance. Tubing rental sessions include an inner tube rental for a 90-minute session. Since opening in 2014/15, Lee Canyon's tubing park has been a popular amenity for local and visiting families. This winter season Lee Canyon will continue to offer complimentary coaching with instructors stationed on Rabbit Peak. Beginners and intermediates can interact with a coach who can offer tips to help fine-tune ski or snowboarding skills. Guests interested in more extensive instruction can purchase one-on-one or group privates with a coach. "There is always an excitement in the air for Lee Canyon's winter opening and this year it seems to be amped up as we welcome newcomers and regulars back to the resort," said Dan Hooper, Lee Canyon General Manager. "We look forward to a remarkable season and guests will notice immediately that Lee Canyon is building a solid reputation of creating amazing snow experiences for all adventure seekers." The resort continues to work on its master development plan that to-date has included many new trails, increased snowmaking capacity, replacing two chair lifts and the addition of the snow tubing park, among others. When completed, Lee Canyon will have a total of 50 trails, 10 chairlifts, expanded parking areas and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified base lodge.
