DENVER - Nov. 29, 2016 - PRLog -- Now is a great time for your home or business to go solar, says Alex Valdez of Denver-based EcoMark Solar.

"We don't know yet what, if any, changes this new President will make regarding solar energy," Valdez explains. "However, the Federal tax credit, which had bi-partisan support, goes until at least 2020. Solar is governed on the state and local levels. Locally, homeowners can participate in Xcel Energy's Solar-Rewards program where you can install solar and then choose to receive a credit on your bill or carry over the excess to the next month.

"The new administration has said it wants to build infrastructure and create jobs, and solar job growth is strong," Valdez said. The Solar Foundation's National Solar Jobs 2015 Census found that the industry continues to exceed growth expectations, adding workers at a rate nearly 12 times faster than the overall economy and accounting for 1.2 percent of all jobs created in the U.S. over the past year.

The Solar Foundation's long-term research shows that solar industry employment has grown by 123 percent in the past six years, resulting in nearly 115,000 domestic living-wage jobs.
As of November 2015, the solar industry employs 208,859 solar workers, representing a growth rate of 20.2 percent since November 2014.

"Also, the cost of equipment for solar systems continues to go down, making it a great investment for homeowners and business owners," Valdez continues. "With energy prices increasing at about six percent annually in Colorado, everyone benefits from solar. In addition to being great for the environment and earning tax credits, going solar benefits homeowners in these ways:

- The proven impact of solar to boost a home's value;

- The consistent year-round effectiveness of solar (yes, even in the winter!); and

- The easy setup and low amount of maintenance of your system. We offer a free first-time buyers guide through our website that answers many questions about going solar -- http://info.ecomarksolar.com/the-first-time-buyers-guide-...."

EcoMark offers systems free of third-party interference and encumbrance so if the consumer decides to sell their home, no lease transfer is needed. "We offer financing if needed and a 25-year full warranty that covers all major components," Valdez explains.
