SAN FRANCISCO - Nov. 30, 2016 - PRLog -- FUSE LITERARY, the hybrid literary agency that focuses on technology, innovation and the expansion of storytelling into new media, today announced the addition of Margaret Bail as the newest Agent at the firm.

"Margaret is the archetypal agent for Fuse Literary," said Laurie McLean, who formed Fuse Literary (formerly Foreword Literary) in March 2013 alongside her business partner Gordon Warnock. "She is innovative and curious, as well as hard-working and on the cusp of major success in her agenting career. We are excited to see her spread her wings and welcome her to Team Fuse."

Gordon and Laurie were impressed by Margaret's track record of success as an agent, as well as her professional attitude and hard work ethic.

"I've known Margaret for a number of years, and am thrilled to finally be working together," Gordon said. "She's an excellent fit for where we're looking to expand, and her hands-on approach to author management will do well here."

"Fuse Literary is becoming a model for the literary agency of the future, and I wanted to be a pivotal part of that change in publishing," Bail said.

Bail has a BA in English and an MFA in Creative and Professional Writing. With years of experience editing manuscripts and teaching university-level writing, she looks forward to working closely with new and established authors to develop their voice and craft.

Her lifelong love of stories and storytelling has her looking for books that transport her into the heart of the story, so much so that she'll forget where she is and lose track of time while she reads.

Margaret is interested in adult fiction in the genres of romance (no Christian or inspirational), science fiction (soft sci-fi rather than hard), mystery, thrillers, action adventure, historical fiction (except WWII era), and fantasy. In non-fiction, Margaret is interested in memoirs with a unique hook, and cookbooks with a strong platform.

Fiction genres Margaret is NOT representing include: YA, MG, children's books; steampunk, Christian/religious literature, chick lit, women's fiction, literary, poetry, and screenplays.

To query Margaret, send a query letter, a brief synopsis, and the first 10 pages of your manuscript to: querymargaret@fuseliterary.com once the agency reopens to receiving queries on January 15, 2017. Follow Margaret on Twitter @mkdb or Facebook at facebook.com/margaret.bail.
