Owens Corning Brings in Bobbitt for Waste Water Treatment Building

AIKEN, S.C. - Nov. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- Bobbitt Design Build recently completed a 4,400-square-foot waste water treatment facility for Owens Corning located on 2648 Wagener Road in Aiken.

The structure will house the on-site waste water treatment equipment, which actually costs ten times the amount it cost to furnish the foundation and building package.

Owens Corning – a global company that develops and produces insulation, roofing and fiberglass composites – hired Bobbitt based on a bid that included a Butler Building furnish and erect package. However later, Owens Corning opted to add a foundation and floor package with Bobbitt to keep the project on schedule.

Throughout the construction phase, Bobbitt coordinated with its multinational corporate client and the general contractor that was installing the waste water treatment equipment to meet hard deadlines. One important time constraint included getting the building under roof, so the other vendor could set equipment. Bobbitt provided a top-notch product and completed the building in a timely manner.
