INDORE, India - Nov. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- Nifty is Down 39.25 Points

The market has opened weak as the Sensex is down 118.97 points at 26197.37. The Nifty is down 39.25 points at 8075.05. Around 437 shares have progressed, 396 shares declined, and 45 shares are unaltered.

Cipla, Asian Paints, Hero MotoCorp, Wipro and Adani Ports are best gainers while SBI, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, ONGC and GAIL are failures in the Sensex.

Banks are under weight as Reserve Bank of India has requested that banks keep up an incremental cash reserve ratio of 100 percent, the move is evaluated to suck out around Rs 3.24 lakh crore of excess liquidity from the system and will be applicable on deposits between September 16 and November 11 fortnights. Bonds and bank stock will take a hit in exchange today.

Gold rises from multi-month lows as dollar weakens

Gold rose over 1 percent on Monday, recovering from a 9-1/2 month low in the past session, as the U.S. dollar extended losses after touching a 14-year highs touched a week ago.

Spot gold was up 1.05 percent at $1,195.26 an ounce by 0252 GMT. The metal marked its lowest since Feb. 8 at $1,171.21 per ounce in the past session.

U.S. gold futures rose 1.43 percent to $1,195.20 per ounce.

SPDR Gold Trust, the world's biggest gold-backed exchange-traded fund, said its holdings fell 0.73 percent to 885.04 tons on Friday from 891.57 tons on Wednesday.

Among other precious metals, silver gained 1.6 percent to $16.75 an ounce and palladium rose 0.3 percent to $743.13

Platinum was up 1.77 percent at $919.00.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were down 3 cents at $46.03 a barrel.
