Initial Commissioning Report of APT Kerosene Desulfurization Unit

RENO, Nev. - Nov. 26, 2016 - PRLog -- Alternative Petroleum Technologies ("APT") is pleased to announce that the fabrication and construction of its solid catalyst desulfurization (ODS) plant is complete and the initial batch of fuel has been processed.

The plant operates at or near its initial physical design requirements.  The next step in the commissioning will be to fine tune the process by making adjustments to the oxidation timing and reagent dosages in order to get closer to the laboratory testing results.  Data has been taken and is being analyzed for this purpose.  The plant heating and cooling behavior is as expected, and the ability to recycle the catalyst after each batch has been shown.  To date, APT has achieved an 85% oxidation/removal level on the first fuel used.

APT is also presently sourcing other kerosene to broaden the commissioning exercises, and looking at ways to further improve upon the preliminary results attained to date.

APT is also working on construction of a diesel ODS plant.  Consturction is expected to be completed in the first part of 2017.

APT worked with the U.S. Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory to sucessfully validate its ODS technology.
