Carolyn Tran Joins Protection From Abuse

PHILADELPHIA - Nov. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- PROTECTION FROM ABUSE Security Services announced today that Canadian Carolyn Tran is joining the charity as a Program Manager. Ms. Tran currently serves as a Project Coordinator for the Saskatchewan Population Health and Evaluation Research Unit. Carolyn has received numerous awards for her academic endeavors, and has received both provincial and national recognition for her innovative research.

"The addition of Ms. Tran represents critical growth within the organization, as she brings to the existing team a unique core competency and experience outside of the security industry," said Steven J. Dana, CEO. "Carolyn's addition will influence program development and strategic relationships so that we may better address the complex needs of our clients in a more holistic manner."

Ms. Tran's diverse experience includes social work with high risk youth, youth justice, community outreach, families and children as well as social work education and research. Her current passions in social work are centered on international social work, specifically human rights and social justice issues, issues affecting immigrants and refugees, and supporting high risk youth in overcoming barriers.

"Protection from Abuse provides critical services for women living in situations where domestic violence is a daily reality, and the support needed to get out of physical endangerment," said Ms. Tran. "As a social worker and woman, I am enthusiastic to join a team that supports women while they take significant steps in changing their lives for the better, while helping to provide a safe path to further help and healing."
