Revolutionary Fundraising Platform Veterans Call Celebrates Incredible First Year This #GivingTu

Veterans Call is asking all Americans to honor our nation's heroes on the global day for giving back.

NEW YORK - Nov. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- Innovative charitable startup Veterans Call is celebrating their first birthday with a big fundraising bang this #GivingTuesday on 29 November.

Veterans Call (http://veteranscallusa.org) is the first and only micro-donations platform that enables Americans to give back to veterans, active-duty military and their families with small monthly donations billed directly to their mobile phone bill. Partnering with 14 of America's leading veterans charities, Veterans Call allows donors to give as little as $5 or $10 each month with no need for credit card or bank account details and lengthy forms. Plus, Veterans Call have recently simplified their website donation process in time for the Giving Season. Americans can now giving view the Veterans Call website in less than 30 seconds. The Veterans Call app, which has been downloaded 150,000 times since it launched one year ago, allows users to stay up to date with their chosen charities, to see how their donations is making a difference.

To celebrate an incredible first year, Veterans Call will be taking part in #GivingTuesday for the very first time, a global day of giving that began just four years ago. Last year, nonprofits raised $16 million dollars on #GivingTuesday, which always follows Thanksgiving and the popular shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Fiona Grindlay-Kuzian, Veterans Call's Head of Marketing, said "As we prepare to celebrate the holidays and give thanks, this is perfect time to show our gratitude and honor our nation's heroes" She adds "This Giving Tuesday we're calling on all Americans to forego one coffee, and instead pledge a small $5 donation via Veterans Call to thank those who fought for our freedom".

The revolutionary platform was founded by a group of philanthropists last November. With military connections spanning generations across the world, including family members currently on active duty, the founders felt passionately about supporting servicemen and women.

They built Veterans Call with patent-pending technology to provide every American with a simple, effective, and affordable way to give back to veterans. There are no checks to write or credit card details to supply; a small monthly donation - as little as $5 - is simply added to a user's cell phone bill.

As it turns one, Veterans Call already has much to celebrate.

Highlights of the launch year have included working with 'Gotham' star and ex-marine JW Cortes, coverage in the Huffington Post, KCBS, PYMNTs.com and New York Business Journal, as well on "the front page of the Internet"; Reddit.com.

Having already been downloaded an incredible 150,000 times, the app boasts outstanding user reviews and a rating of 4.5 in the app store.

Additionally, just last month, Veterans Call was singled out by Google to take part in an exclusive business partner program, thanks to its innovations in mobile giving and capacity for high growth.

Senior Marketing Manager, Prue Watty said"We're deeply humbled by the kindness, generosity and support of those who have rallied to support veterans with Veterans Call. We're more driven than ever to reach many thousands more supporters and make an even bigger difference to veterans, active-duty military and their families as we move into the holidays and our second year".
