Wash N Go Laundry Gave Away 400 Turkeys in San Diego Today

SAN DIEGO - Nov. 22, 2016 - PRLog -- Wash N Go Laundry is proud to announce they gave away 400 turkeys today for local families in need. The turnout was over 1000 people that showed as early as 7am to wait in line. The line went out to Euclid Avenue and down to the bus stop area.

The event was a partnership between Charity Apostolic Church and other local businesses. Urban Barber College gave away over 200 haircuts. Shoe Shack gave away warm beanies while Mother's Nutritional Center gave resource information to the families that stopped by their booth. Cricket Wireless and Vista Hill were among the many sponsors to donate resources like volunteers and free food. The event was held today, November 22nd, 2016, at 220 Euclid Ave in San Diego and started at 10:30 am and ran until all supplies ran out. KUSI News was seen shooting video of turkeys being passed out.

We caught up to Robert Cortes, the co-founder of RebelFish Local that handles all their digital online marketing. We asked him about the event, and he said, "I parked in the Food for Less parking lot a few blocks down. I ran into an older man named George with a large frozen turkey in his cart and asked him about the event. He said it was a blessing to get this big turkey for his family. 'We only planned to buy one turkey on our budget for our large family.' He was grateful."

Wash N Go Laundry has always been a community outreach business that believes in giving back to the people in the communities where they operate their laundromats in San Diego. We ran into one of the owners, and he was smiling from ear to ear when he heard so many people turned out for the event and said, and I quote, "We are going to give away 1000 turkeys next year to help more families."

Our Laundromats are about enhancing an out-of-date, humdrum chore, by renovating and transforming Laundromats for the modern age, with 4 locations in San Diego having undergone top to bottom makeovers, and our soon to be open 5th location in National City launching in February 2017. On-site laundry specialists are present 12 of 16 operating hours; locals will enjoy a seamless experience with customer service support.
