This new Smart Garden gets funded in under 48h on Kickstarter

The new Click & Grow Smart Garden lets you grow more plants and is the only indoor garden on the market with the proprietary technology to grow 30% faster with 600% more vitamins using 95% less water

SAN FRANCISCO - Nov. 21, 2016 - PRLog -- Click & Grow has introduced a new Smart Garden concept on  Kickstarter. com, that got fully funded in under 48h. The Smart Garden 9, an indoor garden that effortlessly grows fresh herbs, salads, flowers, fruits and vegetables, uses a technology that is not only more sustainable than current food production practices, but it also offers huge benefits for the speed of growth and superior antioxidant levels. Now with room for nine plants, The Smart Garden 9 is small enough to fit perfectly into every apartment, yet big enough to transform the way you eat.

The starter kit comes with a salad mix and is available in three colors. From crisp kale, spicy chilli, sweet strawberry, calming mint to any plant you can imagine, this self-growing garden will take care of plants automatically and make sure they have enough water, light, oxygen and nutrients at all times so users can enjoy a higher quality of life with healthy foods grown right on their windowsill. While beautiful, delicious and fool-proof, it's the system's proprietary technology that separates this indoor garden from the rest of the pack.

Rather than relying on hydroponics or aeroponics like most indoor gardens, the Smart Garden 9 is the only self-watering plant system that uses Click & Grow's NASA-inspired Smart Soil technology, which creates the perfect environment plants need to thrive. The Smart Soil is a nanotech material engineered to supply plant roots with the right amount of oxygen, water and nutrients at any time. This is no regular soil, but a material that breathes with the plant and evenly disperses air and water mixture based on the plant's needs. No pesticides, fungicides, hormones or any other kind of harmful substances are involved, and, by not circulating the water the system allows 100 percent of the water to go directly to the roots.

The result of this technology, is a system that uses 95 percent less water, requires no additional nutrients to be added by the gardener, thus cutting down on time needed to care for your plants. Adaptation of Click & Grow's innovative technology to replace hydroponic systems is especially important as water supplies continue to shrink, compounded by the fact that more than 70 percent of fresh water is used in agriculture, most of which ends up being run-off water that is not used by the plants.

Additionally, the Smart Garden 9 is the only system that can grow plants with 600% more vitamins. The system reduces the moisture level in the root zone in a very controlled manner, and thereby uses water stress to increase bioactive compounds in plants. Like people, plants perform much better under controlled stress situations, which results in nutrient-packed plants. Antioxidants, such as vitamins C, vitamin A and rosmarinic acid are widely used in dietary supplements and have been investigated for the prevention of diseases such as cancer, coronary heart disease and even altitude sickness.

And so growers don't get discouraged, the Smart Garden 9 also promises to grow plants 30-50 percent faster than those of soil-grown plants, under the same conditions. The main difference is extra oxygen in the Smart Soil that helps to stimulate root growth. Click & Grow's Thai Basil takes just 1-2 weeks to sprout, and comes to full size in just 1-2 months.
