Tennessee State Parks featured on East Tennessee Television Series, Tellico Village Naturally

Randy Hedgepath, one of the most sought after interpretive naturalists in the southeast is the featured guest on the popular Tellico Village Broadcasting nature and natural history television series, Tellico Village Naturally.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Nov. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- Ray Wright,  award winning station manager for Tellico Village Broadcasting  announced today that the episode featuring Tennessee Parks State Naturalist Randy Hedgepath is the most recent episode of Tellico Village Naturally that is available for viewing.

Per Wright, "It is due to new programming such as Tellico Village Naturally that our viewership is increasing not only among residents of Tellico Village, but among internet viewers who wish to learn more about Tellico Village, and the beautiful and interesting area in which we are located."

Tellico Village Naturally is a series that is produced to showcase to its residents and viewers the natural world that is in and arround Tellico Village, which is located in Loudon County, in East Tennessee.

Past episodes include a visit to the American Eagle Foundation in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. There, creator/producer, and host Keith Sanderson interviewed Al Cecere, founder of AEF about the various raptors native to the area.

The show also showcased Claire Moxim and Elliot Firestone of Monroe County Friends of Animals whose group has helped rescue more than 24,000 dogs and cats. Other  notable naturalists, wildlife biologists, and animal advocates have also appeared.

Sanderson says, "We are delighted that Randy appeared on Tellico Village Naturally. His knowledge of the Tennessee State Parks and what they contain is breathtaking. Plus, his enthusiasm about the subject will make viewers want to drop what they are doing and join him for a hike."

In the episode of Tellico Village Naturally in which Randy appears he provides an overview of the 56 state parks in the Tennessee system and then a narrative that is punctuated with images of the newest Tennessee State Park, Seven Island State Park, Fort  Loudon Tennessee State Park and Historic Site,  Fall Creek Falls which Southern Living Magazine named the best state park in the southeast.

Among the notable attributes of Fall Creek Falls State Park is  the tallest waterfall in the eastern United States is located within its boundaries. Randy also discusses the parks that he calls "His hidden gems" such as Frozen Head Tennessee State Park.

According to information at the Tennessee State Parks website,  "Randy Hedgepath has more than 30 years of experience with Tennessee State Parks. Randy has served as a Ranger Naturalist at South Cumberland and Radnor Lake State Parks. He was appointed State Naturalist for Tennessee State Parks in 2007. A graduate of UT-Martin and former National Park Service Interpretive Specialist, Randy is one of the most sought after interpretive specialists in the southeastern United States."
