NORWALK, Conn. - Nov. 18, 2016 - PRLog -- Gone For a Run, a family-owned business that has grown from a home-based T-Shirt company to a thriving online business with thousands of running products and a robust, monthly virtual race program, has announced their latest race, and the last one of 2016, the Catch Me If You Can Virtual 5K.

Each race has its own theme, usually tied to a holiday or something near and dear to runners, and a portion of the race sign up fee is donated to a different charity every month.  The Catch Me If You Can Virtual Race is in support of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping members of the armed forces and their families through difficult times.  The company is proud that the participants in the Virtual Race not only reach their running goals, but have also always "run in forward" with a portion of their registration fee being donated to a great charity.

Gone For a Run's philosophy about their virtual races is simple: they are for everyone from the beginner who is uncertain if he or she can finish a race, to the professional runner who wants some structure when training for what is considered a more traditional race. Because the runners choose their own time, location, and who, if anyone, they run with, it's a more inclusive race for beginners who may be self conscious, but get to wear an authentic race bib and earn a medal, sometimes for the first time, when they complete the race. Those interested can register for the race on GoneForaRun.com.
