By: NorCal Press NU TV has reached a national agreement with DTV, one of the largest television station groups in America to launch in 20 of its cities in December and to begin airing in DTV other markets and in up to 20 Makko Communications markets starting in January. NU TV is extremely proud to offer a robust line up of sports programming that includes men's professional basketball, professional football, professional championship boxing, and monthly live MMA events. These dynamic sports leagues and original series prime time series are coupled with nationally recognized Award shows, Beauty Pageants, and cultural parades like Black Mardi Gras to create a uniquely Urban Generated national network. NU TV will have a 24-hour schedule airing 7 days a week with daytime talk shows, daily music video shows, incredible prime time original series, and big time live sporting events.NU TV will strive to develop deep ties to each of the communities they will be airing in. Nu TV is led by its general manager David Yarborough an African American producer and studio executive. Mr. Yarborough has singlehandedly lead the acquisition and development of Nu TV's original content slate while simultaneously fostering relationships with station groups and sales agencies. NU TV has several Celebrity driven prime time series set to be released on the station in addition to its evening news series the "Star Chamber" featuring legendary shock jock Star of Star &Buckwild. It's said that Star has also been tapped to host Boxing and MMA events that air on NU TV as well as basketball and football'stop national games. Nu TV is also in talks with Tariq Nasheed, an advocate for the African American community, a filmmaker, and a radio host, about broadcasting a new nightly late night talk show.
