BERLIN - Nov. 15, 2016 - PRLog -- Henry J. Newman's novel "The Wife of a Bestselling Author" describes the life of a man who once wanted to be like Kurt Cobain, and how his life has now become distorted.

A follower of the Nirvana rock band, James Taylor joined the ranks of bestselling authors in his 20s. However, in his early 40s, what is left of him is a small flat; a golden retriever, Max; and his wife, Emily, who worked for a third-rate theater company.

There are two women in his life. The book editor Elizabeth Spencer controlled his 20s. She makes a call to him out after years and gives him an ultimatum. Around that time, by accident, he sees his wife, Emily Baker, who dominated his 30s, working at a café. While secretly reading her diary on his laptop, he finds out about her part-time job. James follows her, and when he reaches the studio, young actor Julien Martin stimulates him until he messed up everything. He apologizes to Emily, but she refuses.

After facing a setback in his writing career, James is determined to make a comeback with his writing. To say goodbye to Emily, James goes to her open rehearsal and Emily is found dead next morning. Nobody takes responsibility for her death. James concentrates on his writing and successfully releases his second novel. When he gets used to another comfortable life, he comes across a notebook—Emily's real diary.

"The Wife of a Bestselling Author" also has some hidden gifts to offer to the readers who miss the 90s' rock spirit, as they will discover traces of the "Nirvana" rock band in the novel here and there.
