This fun, fast memoir reads like a novel yet provides just enough "how to" insights to help you look at your own love/hate relationship with food, and likely change how you look at dieting forever.
THINK OF IT LIKE EAT, PRAY, LOVE GOES ON A DIET! I wrote this book because I've spent my life helping people. Little did I know that after I graduated from nursing school I would end up nursing people's relationships. Much less my own. Much less the relationship I had with food!
It took me 40 years of experimenting with various diets before I arrived at this completely unorthodox way to lose weight. Call it a NON-DIET way to lose weight. In fact, no doctor or nutritionist would approve of this plan - it's just that opposite to any you've ever seen before in your search for something you can live with as a lifestyle - not simply a diet.
But if you're a Junk Food Junkie like I am and there's no way you're giving up your favorite foods to lose weight, then it is my hope that this book will help you at least make some better choices.
Publishing a book is a very expensive process, easily involving thousands of dollars. As the author of 5 other books I've written over the years (in the days before crowdfunding)
I have set our goal at $5,000 but the way Kickstarter works is if you don't get the full goal met, you get none of the money. I truthfully would love to have our goal closer to $10,000 but I'm going to be conservative, hoping that I make my goal, and that any funds in excess of the $5,000 will be applied to further book printing and ideally, the development of a separate journal/workbook to help readers track their food and exercise efforts, as they track their weight.
