BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Nov. 10, 2016 - PRLog -- It's "Reigning Cats and Dogs"! Eric Ginsburg at Holland Tunnel Gallery

December 3-18, portion of proceeds benefit BARC Shelter in Williamsburg

Holland Tunnel Gallery is pleased to announce the first exhibition at the Gallery by painter Eric Ginsburg. "Reigning Cats and Dogs" will be on view December 10-18, with a gala benefit reception for BARC shelter with the artist from 2-5 pm. Come to the Gallery, or start at BARC two blocks away and signs will take you to the show, where you can win a portrait of your best friend by Eric and more goodies from BARC!

Holland Tunnel Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays, 2-5 PM or by appointment, please visit http://www.hollandtunnelgallery.com/contact/ , call the gallery 718-384-5738, or contact the artist's agency, Q, at 917-686-0005.. Entrance to this unique, indoor/outdoor venue, a popular destination for visual art, music, and performance, is between 59 and 61 South 3rd Street between Berry and Wythe Aves, accessible via the J, M and Z trains to Marcy Avenue and the L to Bedford.

Ginsburg can arguably be called the Clown Prince of pet portraiture, he never lets his prodigious painting skill get in the way of his sense of fun and deeply authentic self-expression. Loved by fellow artists - his work is found in the collections of Sol Lewitt, William Wegman, and many, many colleagues -- he also works as an advocate for the community and bringing more people together with art and its creators. Also an avid supporter of animal rescue, he once again is donating a portion of his proceeds to the lifesaving and heartwarming programs of Williamsburg's own BARC.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their fur family, Eric will photograph your best friend for a commissioned portrait (which includes a donation to BARC) during the reception.

BARC's mission is to provide a safe haven for abandoned animals and to find permanent loving homes for them. We provide them with quality food, shelter, medical attention, and the love they deserve.
