LONDON - Nov. 10, 2016 - PRLog -- Eighty-six French companies, representatives from across the industry, are exhibiting from 15th - 17th November 2016 at METS, the world's largest marine equipment trade show in Amsterdam. The ever-growing number of exhibitors in the collective Pavilion organised by Business France – the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy – is proof of the vitality and quality of French expertise, which is at the cutting edge of technology. A quarter of the companies are first-time exhibitors.
The French delegation includes 23 new exhibitors specialising in yachting solutions such as accessories, on-board safety, comfort and navigation optimisation. Boat building materials, equipment and services are of course still strongly represented at the show.
France is the world leader in sailing boats and the multi-hull sector and is the world's fourth largest motorboat manufacturer. It is also one of the main European markets for sea and river charter boats.

The industry boasts 5,319 French companies, directly employing 40,166 people. Across the Channel, the industry's total turnover amounts to €4.41 billion, while that of the boats sector totals at €831.70 million. The French yachting sector exports an impressive 76.8% of its goods and services.

According to Anny Hoffman, organiser of the Pavilion at Business France, "France has a higher standing than ever in the global yachting industry. French companies are increasingly dynamic abroad. The French yachting industry, driven by innovation, is seeing new companies emerging on the market. These are partly in response to the requirements of a certain group of yachtsmen and yachtswomen looking to experience different approaches to consumer trends. Innovation is ever-present in the industry, which has successfully modernised, whilst also maintaining the expertise that characterises French offerings."

With the support of the French Nautical Industries Federation (Fédération des industries nautiques –FIN), the French companies grouped together by Business France are exhibiting in an area measuring 1,200 m2, from 15th to 17th November 2016 in Halls 1 and 5, CMP (Construction Material Pavilion) and MYP (Marina Yard Pavilion) at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Center.

Their R&D expertise attracts distributors, buyers and technical directors from shipyards worldwide. Many of them regularly receive awards for their innovations.
