Phytelligence Announces Lower Pricing, Spring Budding And New Varieties Available For Spring 2018

Company expands growth capacity, adds new varieties and spring budding to growing platform of plants, genetic analysis and repository services.

BURIEN, Wash. - Nov. 9, 2016 - PRLog -- Phytelligence, an agricultural biotechnology company revolutionizing the way food crops are grown, has announced the opening of their Spring 2018 booking season and the addition of several key offerings to their grower-focused product line. In addition to providing genetically confirmed, true-to-type rootstock, Phytelligence is now also offering spring budding and 4-foot whips in all commercially available varieties. They've also continued to expand their plant types to include multiple types of berries, hops, wine and table grapes, almond and hazelnuts to their already best-selling fruit tree options.

Phytelligence (http://www.phytelligence.com) now has annual capacity for over 29 million plants; making them a leader in production ability and helping them ease the rootstock bottleneck by getting growers the in-demand plants they need, when they need them. Staying true to their grower-focused roots, Phytelligence has also announced lowered pricing for the Spring 2018 season, sharing the cost savings resulting from scale directly to the customer. Growers are encouraged to book before December 31, 2017 to take advantage of the lowest possible pricing and deepest pre-booking discounts of 5 - 10 percent depending on volume ordered.

Phytelligence operates on a mission to help growers increase their ROI by providing virus free, genetically confirmed rootstocks, plants, and trees that fruit faster than the current nursery alternatives. Current nurseries continue to grow plants and trees in soil-based beds, where they're susceptible to weather conditions and plagued by pathogens. Phytelligence uses a 4-step proprietary tissue culture process to ensure stronger, virus-free plants that grow large quantities of plants quicker that fruit faster than those offered by the current industry standards. With their ability to rapidly propagate plants, Phytelligence is tackling the rootstock shortage issue that has plagued the industry for decades.

"We're constantly looking for new ways to put more money in the growers pockets faster through innovation." said Ken Hunt, CEO of Phytelligence. "We hear a lot about growers being unable to obtain the plants they need, and once they do they're often the wrong type or weak and susceptible to diseases. We provide the best way to grow these plants, one that results in fruit faster and translates directly into more profit per plant in larger numbers to the grower."

Phytelligence will also continue to offer genetic testing for growers looking to identify any unknown plants, or those hoping to patent a new variety. In addition, repository services are available for those wishing to preserve clean material for rapid propagation in the future.

Current Phytelligence plant offerings include the following:

-       Apples

-       Pears

-       Cherries

-       Grapes

-       Berries

-       Hops

-       Almonds

-       Hazelnuts

Phytelligence is continuously expanding their offering for high value crops, if a desired crop is not on the list, please contact Phytelligence to check on the status. Growers interested in pricing and availability should contact Ashley Mann at 206-300-9891, or ashleymann@phytelligence.com.
