Peachtree Immediate Care Opens Seventeenth Urgent Care Center in Greater Metro Atlanta

ATLANTA & OAKWOOD, Ga. - Nov. 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Peachtree Immediate Care (PIC), the leading operator of urgent care centers in the Greater Atlanta area, opened its seventeenth center in Oakwood, a northeastern suburb of Atlanta along I-985, on November 7^th. The center provides walk-in care for non-life threatening medical issues and occupational health services seven-days-a-week from 8AM-8PM. Like the other Peachtree Immediate Care centers in Georgia, this center will be a member of the Emory Healthcare Network offering seamless continuity of care through electronic health record sharing, greater access, and better coordination across primary care, urgent care, and specialists.

The center will be staffed by licensed physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners who seek to give patients an experience that lives up to the company's tagline — "Get in. Get out. Get Better!" In addition to the very capable staff, the recently renovated center will have an electronic medical record system that is tied in to all the other Peachtree Immediate Care centers, an on-site lab, and digital x-ray capabilities, allowing patients to be seen without the long wait or high costs of an emergency room. The occupational health services offered include physicals (e.g., pre-employment, annual), workers' compensation injury treatment, and drug testing, including eScreens.

Peachtree Immediate Care is also working to open its Snellville center, which is planned for the first quarter of the new year. This center will be located just east of the Killian Hill Rd SW intersection on the busy Highway 78 in a new, twenty-five thousand square foot facility, where the urgent care center will be the anchor tenant.
