Carolina Practice Managing Partner Theresa Drew Receives 2016 Experienced Leader Award

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Nov. 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Theresa Drew, Carolinas managing partner, Deloitte LLP, earned the 2016 Experienced Leader Award by the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA) for her 37 years of dedication and leadership in the accounting and consulting profession.

Drew received the honor at NCACPA's Women to Watch Awards Oct. 21, 2016 at the Grandover Resort & Conference Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.

"I'm humbled to receive this award, which would not have been possible without the support of many committed, talented colleagues at Deloitte," Drew said. "I'm grateful to work with a group of people who motivate me to strive for success in our industry and community every day."

Five years ago, Drew relocated to Charlotte from California, where she served as the San Diego managing partner for 10 years. She is currently the only female managing partner of a "Big Four" organization in Charlotte.

In addition to her Carolinas role, Drew serves as the East region leader for Deloitte's mid-market Growth Enterprise Services practice, where she leads a team that serves growth companies with annual revenues between $50 million and $1 billion, representing one of the largest segments of the Carolinas economy.

Drew's additional responsibilities include chairing Deloitte's development committee for national senior manager leadership programs, conducting Deloitte's Managing Partner Transition Labs and hosting the 2017 Deloitte Managing Partner Summit. Drew is also involved as a board member with the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Charlotte Country Day School, Charlotte Will, Charlotte Executive Leadership Council, the YMCA of Greater Charlotte and other local organizations.
