Kirk Stange Joins Global Collaborative Law Council

The Global Collaborative Law Council was originally established in 2004 as the Texas Collaborative Law Council by a small team of Texas attorneys. It was started to dedicate themselves to clients in managing their legal conflicts and resolving their legal issues without any sort of litigation. The Council flourished with members from coast to coast, and then in 2009 the named was changed to Global Collaborative Law Council. Its main mission is advancing the use of collaborative process as an amicable solution for clients during their legal matters.

To become a collaborative law attorney, the attorney must go through separate training. In a collaborative divorce and family law matter, both of the parties hire a collaborative attorney and then meet outside of the court to settle terms and conditions of the divorce. Using their attorneys and other needed professionals (which can range from divorce coaches, financial neutrals, and psychologists), the two soon-to-be former spouses sit down and talk through the matters. This process allows the sensitive subject be held out of court.
