PONTIAC, Mich. - Nov. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- Join artist April Wagner and her team at epiphany glass studios for live glassblowing demonstrations while shopping with a 15 percent discount on colorful ornaments, elegant wine decanters, one-of-a-kind glass artwork, festive paperweights and an array of pet-themed items benefitting the Michigan Humane Society. The event is free and open to the public, and families are welcome to attend.

New this year, guests will have the opportunity to create their own glass ornament with epiphany glass artists during the Holiday Show.  This unique glassblowing experience also makes a great gift for the holidays.  A $50 epiphany gift certificate is valid for one person's glassblowing session. Reservations are required in advance, and guests are welcome to attend. Glassblowing sessions may be scheduled during the Holiday Show or at your convenience by calling epiphany glass at (248) 745-3786, or by email at info@epiphanyglass.com.

Every year during the holiday season, epiphany glass partners with a metro Detroit charity to raise funds through the sale of exclusive glass gift items. This year, epiphany has extended its partnership with the Michigan Humane Society, offering a colorful line of pet-themed glass works, including both functional items and decorative figurines, with a portion of proceeds benefitting MHS. The pet-themed items range from $40 - $690 and include sleeping kitties, colorful dogs, drinking glasses and small and large water/food bowls featuring tiny pawprint embellishments amidst the colorful glass designs.

Also new this season are the colorful Petite Zanfirico glass vessels, the latest creation in the line of Zanfirico bowls launched by the studio last spring. Each vessel is handmade from specially prepared glass "canes" in an array of vibrant hues and swirling designs. Caneworking is a traditional Italian technique that involves creating complex patterns of cane to color a piece.  The colors and patterns of the canes were made by April and her epiphany glass team especially for this new series. .

This smaller version of the larger epiphany Zanfiricos, measuring approximately 7" x 4", is the perfect touch for any shelf, mantle or tablescape. Each Petite Zanfirico, available online and in-studio, is $450. Visit the epiphany glass studio store at www.epiphanyglassstore.com. Original Zanfirico bowls are also available online.

Epiphany glass studio will also host Open Studios on Saturday, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17, from noon to 4 p.m.  StudioE gift items, including paperweights and desk accessories swirling with color, plump pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, and a variety of beautiful fall leaves and flowers, will be available along with collectible art pieces by glass artist and owner April Wagner.

epiphany glass items may be purchased online at www.epiphanyglassstore.com, by phone, by appointment or during open studio times in December with cash, check or credit card.  To purchase by phone, call epiphany glass studio at (248) 745-3786.

Her work is found in many public and private collections, including those of GM, Pfizer, Strategic Staffing Solutions, Vladimir Putin, Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson.
