DARTFORD, U.K. - Nov. 18, 2016 - PRLog -- Life's a Lemon in Goa

Recovering from a failed marriage, aching for his four-year-old daughter and grieving due to the recent loss of his mother, Rich arrives in Goa for a much needed break. His arrival coincides with the discovery of a young girl's body washed up on shore.

He becomes embroiled in accusations of theft – bringing him into a web of intrigue with Lakshya, the local Police Chief, a clever, well-educated man who's strong on accusations.

He meets Lalima, a thirteen-year-old dancing girl. The death of Lalima's young cousin in similar circumstances to the first girl leads Rich deeper into a snare and accusations from the local police. Allowing himself to drift into a dysfunctional relationship further complicates his life. However, when Lalima goes missing as well, the fingers of suspicion point to him. He sets out to find her, in the process learning who his true friends are, and who is out to thwart him. His inquiries alert the powers that be who want to cover up the mystery and he has to go on the run in order to save his own life and that of Lalima – if only he can find her – and expose the criminal network.

A pacy novel that explores issues of sex trafficking, power and corruption, with a positive outcome.

"I've been interested in the meeting of western and eastern cultures for ages. Many people all over the world continue to see India as its spiritual centre.  The Hindu concept of dharma – that each individual is on a road to find their unique role and task in life – fascinates me. This has pushed me on to investigate characters from east and west who are on a quest to find themselves and to change and evolve." says Author Neil Beardmore.

"From the way the author creates scenes and characters, captures the atmosphere and the emotions of the protagonist – there can be no doubt that the action of this story is set against an authentic Goa background and the impeccable writing style gives a palpable vividness to the events," says Vivian of Pneuma Springs Publishing.
