Indianapolis-based Umbaugh CPA Firm Recognized as "Best of the Best" By National Publication

INDIANAPOLIS - Nov. 4, 2016 - PRLog -- Indianapolis-based Umbaugh CPA firm has been recognized as one of the "Best of the Best" 50 CPA firms nationwide by accounting publication INSIDE Public Accounting (http://insidepublicaccounting.com/). The recognition assessed Umbaugh with its "overall superior financial and operational performance on more than 70 IPA criteria. The right combination of planning, strategy and execution distinguishes Best of the Best firms from among more than 540 firms that participated in the26th Annual Survey and Analysis of Firms," said the publication.

         "This is a great tribute to our clients who allow us to provide strategic counsel on their behalf; and it's a great tribute to our Umbaugh team of accounting and management advisors who deal every day with difficult financial issues for our clients," said Todd Samuelson, Umbaugh executive partner.

         Earlier this year Umbaugh was recognized for rising 32 places to #163 in the ranking for the Top 200 CPA firms in the nation, making it one of the fastest growing firms the publication said.

         Samuelson said the honor was especially gratifying because Umbaugh's isn't like other accounting firms included in the assessment process. "Umbaugh is different from most accounting firms because we are one of the largest and most active independent municipal advisors to governmental units in the Midwest. We focus exclusively on solving problems for cities, towns, counties, schools, libraries and other government related entities."

The ranking is according to Thomson Reuters which considers a small bond to be an issue of $10 million or less. Umbaugh is the most active firm of municipal advisors in the nation that operates as a CPA firm.
