Face Off With Cancer Pledges to Give $60k in 60 Days to Local Cancer Families

MOORPARK, Calif. - Nov. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- Face Off With Cancer, a local non-profit organization, announced today their pledge to give $60,000 in 60 days to local cancer families.  With roots in the local Ice Hockey community the organization's fundraising goals are met through hockey related tournaments, events and campaigns. The latest tournament, held at Iceoplex Simi Valley over the weekend of August 27-28th 2016, saw record-breaking success: raising over $100k to support local cancer families.

The immense success of the tournament allows Face Off With Cancer to make this incredible pledge of giving $60k in 60 days. 'No one should face-off to cancer alone' is the motto that fuels the operational goal of financially helping families and individuals battling cancer.  The $60,000 will directly support local cancer families in a multitude of ways including easing the financial burden of medical treatments, clinical trials, pharmaceuticals, travel expenses and more.

"Traditionally, our efforts focus on our fundraising campaigns while cancer families are nominated or request support on their own," explained Face Off With Cancer President Ryan King.  "With the success of our flagship fundraising event this year, we are excited to be actively reaching out to local hospitals and support organizations to identify families who really need this support as the holidays approach."
