Call for Speakers open for MED-Ed Facilities Boston

BOSTON - Nov. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- MED|Ed Facilities Boston 2017 seeks proposals for workshops and educational sessions that are relevant to the Northeast's A/E/C community. MED|Ed Facilities is April 4+ 5, 2017 at the Seaport World Trade Center.

The theme of the 2017 event is: Design, Build, Innovate for Health, Safety, Welfare & Resiliency and all proposals will be evaluated by our advisory board of leading industry professionals who represent all segments of AEC profession.

The program features real-world, solutions-based case studies and management discussions relating to the planning, designing, construction, and facility management of medical and educational building types. Continuing education credits/hours will be available for sessions at MED|Ed Facilities.

The Submission Deadline is Friday, November 25, 2016.

The two day MED-Ed Facilities conference program covers: Innovation in Healthcare Construction; Cutting Edge Educational Facilities; Maintaining Operations During Redesign and Rebuilding; BIM in Healthcare Design and Construction; Building Performance & Engineering; Green Construction, Specifications; Codes & Contract Documents; Project Management & Delivery; Case Studies and more.

About the conference director.

Michelle Roberts, CSI, is the Principal of Chatham Hill Design & Build. She has a deep knowledge and understanding of Sustainable & Resilient Building Enclosure, Interior & Building Science Design and its relationship to Residential, Commercial & Industrial Construction Specifications. Michelle works with Global Building Owners & Architectural, Engineering, Construction Firms charged with designing complex,  high performing commercial, institutional, industrial buildings and housing. Michelle updates and creates Owner Architectural MasterGuide Specifications and also identifies what type of Building Science, Resilient & Sustainable Interior Design support is needed. She collaborates with her internationally recognized Acoustical, Mechanical, Fire, Hygrothermal and Flat/Low Slope Roofing Building Scientist & Designer colleagues to support these specifications.
