Festival of Trees Preview Party Kicks Off 10th Year

Here's what's NEW in 2016!
The Tree Preview Party & Wine Tasting, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, will give attendees a sneak peek of more than 20 beautifully decorated trees and several wreaths. Located at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, the party will include five wine & food pairings and a silent auction. In honor of Goodwill's 50th Anniversary in Southwest Florida, the first 50 people to register for the party and wine tasting will receive a complimentary hand-painted wine goblet. There will be a live auction for Goodwill's Teddy Bear tree, which traditionally has been donated to a children's charity. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at www.goodwilltrees.com.
Painting with a Purpose enables anyone to be a celebrated artist at the art center. Painting is scheduled 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1. Participants will paint a brightly-colored holiday tree on canvas. A cash bar will be available. Register online at www.paintingwithatwist.com/
Ugly Sweater Party & Contest Get Ugly at the first ever Festival of Trees ugly sweater contest. Cash bar and craft beer will be on hand. Bring your own pretzel necklace or sample some snacks at this Nov. 30 gathering among the trees.
Department 56 Snow Village Collection, presented by Kathy and Sam Galloway, includes more than 100 collectible pieces that recreate an Old English lighted landscape. This is the 40th Anniversary of Department 56 Snow Villages and this large collection dates back more than 30 years. Viewing of the Snow Village is free with a $2 Tree Viewing paid admission.
Festival Gift Shoppe & Sweet Shoppe Start (or finish) your holiday shopping at the Gift Shoppe, located inside the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center. Select from many festive holiday items for decorating or gift giving. Satisfy your sweet tooth at the Sweet Shoppe.
All of the activities will be held at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, 2301 1st Street, in Fort Myers River District. Attendees can also count on many of the traditional festival favorites, such as Brunch with Santa, Santa's Block Party and beautifully decorated trees and wreaths that will be raffled.
