GiftGen app launches FREE on Microsoft Store
GiftGen is the gift ideas generator - a gift finder tool that has been providing present suggestions since 2005 and boasts a huge database containing thousands of gift ideas from hundreds of retailers. For the first time, access to this extremely useful database is available via a Windows app.
WINCHESTER, U.K. - Nov. 1, 2016 - PRLog -- GiftGen started as a website in 2005, with the stated aim of "relieving the stress of scouring hundreds of shops and websites for present ideas". Over the last 11 years, mobile versions, widgets and apps have been developed to share this database with a wider audience. Now, for Christmas 2016 gift hunters, it's the turn of Windows phone and Windows 10 users.
It's very easy to use – just select how much you want to spend, a gender, an age and a character type, then tap search. Within moments, you are presented with a list of appropriate gift suggestions, along with links to suggested websites or high street shops to buy them from. The GiftGen guys have done all the hard work of researching gift ideas and which sites and shops out there stock them, saving you heaps of time and hassle. You can even choose to spend 'nothing', which then suggests free gift ideas, such as printables, favour vouchers, things to make and virtual gifts.
Mark Rowe, co-creator of GiftGen, said, "We're excited to announce the Windows app version, just in time to help people with present ideas this Christmas. Having previously launched Android and iOS versions, we decided that it should be Microsoft's turn this year, and we're initially releasing this version as a free app."
It is interesting to plug in your own details and see what gift ideas it suggests for yourself.
To download the app, just go to the Microsoft App store, and search for 'giftgen'. The app is currently priced as free and has a very small digital footprint, so it won't eat up loads of your phone's memory.
