Bane-Welker Equipment & Case IH Providing Equipment for Ivy Tech

LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Oct. 31, 2016 - PRLog -- Bane-Welker Equipment, in collaboration with Case IH, have recently agreed to provide the Lafayette and Terre Haute Ivy Tech campuses with the use of new Case IH equipment to enhance the hands-on experience of the students in their Agriculture Program.  Bane-Welker Equipment has a strong relationship with the two campuses, from the Bane Agriculture Technology Center to helping develop their Precision Agriculture Equipment Technology program, providing equipment was the next step in the partnership.  "We're excited to be able to give the students a unique opportunity, and we'd like to thank Case IH for all of their help" stated Phil Bane, CEO of Bane-Welker Equipment.

Bane-Welker, along with Case IH, have agreed to place 4 total pieces of new equipment on both campuses every quarter through 2017. "Technology plays a big role in agriculture, and it's not every day students get first-hand experience with the newest and most advanced equipment" stated Jason Bane, Complex Sales Manager of Bane-Welker Equipment. Ivy Tech Lafayette Campus Farm Manager, Rodney Isfalt said, "the combine and tractor provide welcome learning opportunities for students to gain experience and understanding of current technology in machine power and operation."

The Ivy Tech in Lafayette has already received their first round of equipment, a Case IH 8240 and a Case IH Magnum 380 CVT.  Upon arrival, Bane-Welker Precision Farming Specialist, Matt Jahnke and a Case IH Demo Professional from Racine, Wisconsin got the combine set and ready to start harvest. Andrea Schwartz, Program Chair and Assistant Professor at the Ivy Tech Lafayette campus said "All of us at Ivy Tech strive to give our students the best education possible.
