FAIRFIELD, Calif. - Oct. 29, 2016 - PRLog -- Writers Resource Center author Janie P. Bess will offer free workspace and coaching for any writer or group of writers participating in this year's 18th Annual National Novel Writing Month (NANOWriMo) activities.  The 30-day writing marathon is meant to give writers all that they need to pen a 50,000 word novel during the month of November. Bess will serve as a local host for the event's "write-in" sessions, providing a haven for Solano County authors who want to meet, discuss any challenges and work on their novel on the spot. The "write-ins" will be held by appointment starting November 2nd, at 1745 Enterprise Drive, Fairfield, in room 111. Attendees must email janiepbess@yahoo.com to set up a one-on-one or group meeting.

"I'm happy to be providing this service for local writers who really want to attempt to write a novel in 30 days," says Bess who is working on her second book. "I'm looking forward to lively, exciting discussions."

Anyone interested in participating in National Novel Writing Month must first sign up on the event's website at www.nanowrimo.org for rules and other information. Those who submit a 50,000-word work of fiction by the November 30 deadline will automatically be eligible for numerous free and discounted prizes, including writing, editing and publishing software donated by various national sponsors.

National Novel Writing Month is a nonprofit based in the Bay Area.  It began in 1999 when only 21 people took the 50,000-word challenge.  Last year more than 431,000 people in countries and cities throughout the world participated, including 80,000 students and educators.
