PRLog -- Jimmy McMillan, founder of the Rent is Too Damn High Party, claims Donald Trump will win the state of New York in the upcoming presidential election. The last republican to win the state was Ronald Reagan, in 1984.
"Trump is right, too many New Yorkers have blindly voted for whoever ran as a Democrat and nothing has changed," said Mr. McMillan, who earned an impressive 41,131 votes from New York citizens in the 2010 gubernatorial election.
"In New York City, the rent is too damn high," said Mr. McMillan, stating the phrase that perpetuated him to stardom, "except at Trump buildings," he added.
Mr. McMillan cited several recent reports that uncovered many landlords in the city kept money from a tax benefit intended to reduce the rent for tenants. "Landlords pocketed the money that was intended for tenants, causing rent prices to skyrocket," Mr. McMillan said.
"Trump was honest – his buildings did not pocket tax break money like so many other sleazy landlords," Mr. McMillan concluded.
