MANCHESTER, N.H. - Oct. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- At sixteen Peter Cardinal's parents were murdered by monsters. Driven by a desire for justice, he joins a paranormal law enforcement agency focused on stopping monsters.

This is the world of Tim Morgan's new novel, WITCH CITY: CARDINAL, which is the first novel in a book series. "I'm excited about this," Morgan says, "I've been thinking about this series for years and it's nice to be bringing it to market."

In the series, Cardinal investigates different types of monsters readers are familiar with: vampires, werewolves and zombies will be making appearances. There are some other surprises planned, with villains and heroes from mythologies readers may not be familiar with making appearances. "Mythology is so rich; there are so many possibilities we can explore as writers if we look to other cultures."

Morgan's inspiration is varied: he enjoys classics from authors such as H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allen Poe and contemorary authors such as Tom Clancy. He finds mixing the genres fun work. "Each genre has its own conventions; the interesting part is finding ways to bring them together in a logical way."

He has bigger plans for the series as well - he's written four short film scripts featuring characters in the series, including one which will be referenced in the next novel. Morgan's plan is to release the next novel in the second or third quarter of 2017. The first three novels will show the lead characters in the series, all the while fighting monsters.

WITCH CITY: CARDINAL is available from Amazon.com for Kindle devices and apps. The Amazon URL is: http://amzn.to/2eVw5Gc
