Professional Women in Building Support Monmouth County SPCA in Successful Effort To Win Contest

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Oct. 27, 2016 - PRLog -- The host of the Wake Up with Jeremy Grunin show on WOBM radio recently donated his entire quarterly salary to one local non-profit organization through an online voting poll. While there were many worthy non-profits in the running, the winner of the contest was the Monmouth County SPCA (MCSPCA). Voters in the poll overwhelmingly supported this amazing organization, including members of the Shore Builders Association's Professional Women in Building of the Garden State (PWB), and particular, PWB member Marlen Kroll of Design Floors & Interiors, who is an avid supporter of the MCSPCA. The check for $6,600 was presented recently at the MCSPCA, with Jeremy Grunin, Barbara Loveli-Napoli and Lindsay Sanator of the MCSPCA, along with Tom Bovino, Marlen Kroll, and Gina McNamara all with the Shore Builders Association PWB.

According to Tom Bovino, President of Shore Builders Association, "It was important for members of our PWB council to attend the check presentation. In addition to supporting our member Marlen Kroll, who is an avid volunteer for MCSPCA, but to let the MCSPCA know that we are planning to be a long-time supporter and partner for their efforts to take care of pets and animals that so desperately need our help." Bovino continues, "The facility and its staff do amazing things for these vulnerable members of our community and it is always so humbling to see the staff and volunteers in action. Our association is so lucky to be able to assist in any way we can and we look forward to working together on future projects."

As the philanthropic arm of the Shore Builders Association, the PWB has partnered with the MCSPCA on fundraising and collection drive in the past, including one over the summer to benefit the Pet Pantry Project. Members of the association were asked to donate pet supplies and food during one of the biggest networking events of the year for Shore Builders Association – their Annual BBQ on the Beach which took place in July at Martell's Tiki Bar in Point Pleasant, NJ. As a result of these efforts, there were over a thousand pet products and $1,400 in cash and gift cards collected from attendees that night.

Shore Builders Association of Central New Jersey, Inc. (SBACNJ) is a professional trade association covering Monmouth, Ocean, Mercer and Middlesex counties comprised of builders, developers, subcontractors, suppliers, and service-oriented businesses.
