NEW ORLEANS - Oct. 27, 2016 - PRLog -- On Friday, November 11th, Neighborhood Housing Services of New Orleans (NHS) will host its first Celebrity Guest Luncheon at the National World War II Museum to celebrate 40 years of providing community housing, education, and revitalization to residents of Greater New Orleans. The open-to-the-public, ticketed event will raise awareness around the critical need for affordable housing opportunities and economic development for vulnerable populations such as seniors, veterans, and working individuals and families.

Presented by NeighborWorks America, the luncheon will allow guests the opportunity to dine with local celebrities while making a tangible impact on New Orleans families and bid on a range of intriguing auction items. Legendary burlesque entertainer Trixie Minx will star as the event's master of ceremonies. Some of the other celebrity guests include:

"New Orleans is such an incredibly attractive place to live," Amy Batiste, CEO of NHS said. "We want to continue to provide opportunities to all those who call the Crescent City home, especially the ones who remained here after Hurricane Katrina and continue to make it such a unique, soulful city."

Tickets for the luncheon are $100, which include a reserved seat and meal, and can be purchased online at http://www.nhsnola.org or by calling (504) 899-5900. Those who cannot make the event but would like to support NHS can make a $40 "Pay It Forward" Donation in honor of organization's four decades of service to the local community.

Proceeds from the Celebrity Guest Luncheon will benefit Neighborhood Housing Services efforts to create and sustain healthy and vibrant neighborhoods through real estate development, education, and community building activities that improve the quality of life for all residents.
