American Medical Depot Supports Veterans during the National Veterans Small Business Engagement

 
MIRAMAR, Fla. - Oct. 27, 2016 - PRLog -- Beverly Kuykendall, President of Government Business at American Medical Depot is scheduled to speak at the sixth annual National Veterans Small Business Engagement (NVSBE), November 1-3, 2016 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.  The event is designed to connect Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs) with Procurement Decision Makers (PDMs) from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, other federal agencies, state government, and large commercial firms with small business needs.

Kuykendall will lead a session on November 2, 2016 at 11:10 AM titled "Certified? Now What?" The session will focus on leveraging certifications to secure federal contracts and successfully pursue business opportunities. Kuykendall will leverage her own experience in federal contracting to identify how to bridge the gap between identifying opportunities, responding to RFPs, successfully partnering with other businesses, and mitigating risk. Participants will learn the tools to successfully position their businesses as someone the government and government contractors want to do business with.

Beverly Kuykendall is an accomplished business professional and highly requested speaker. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 50 Most Powerful Minority Women in Business, Supplier of the Year by the Southern California Minority Supplier Development Council, 2013 Small Business Champion of the Year by the Los Angeles District office of the U.S. Small Business Association, Entrepreneur of the Year by the Black Business Association of Los Angeles, and Advocate of the Year by the National Association of Minority Contractors of Southern California. Most recently, Kuykendall was recognized as one of South Florida's 25 Most Influential and Prominent Women in Business and Leadership for 2015.

Kuykendall has a BS in Business Management from Cal Poly University in Pomona, California, and an MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.
