AUGUSTA, Ga. - Oct. 27, 2016 - PRLog -- GET has announced the addition of another music format that will be a part of the Terrestrial and Internet radio stable offered through its American Internet & Radio division – "Hit the Beach" – a Carolina-style beach music presentation.

GET CEO, Dain L. Schult, remarked, "Most people think of beach music specifically being a genre of the West Coast and Southern California in particular. – in short, The Beach Boys.  There is an entirely different genre of beach music on the East Coast and specifically in the Southeast in the Carolinas, Georgia and Florida, in particular.

"It is also known as "shagging music" which pertains to a certain style of dancing – quite unlike the British definition of that word.

"We wanted to go ahead and begin development of this format.  We're in the process of locating the necessary programming and air talent to create the 24/7 format we envision.  So the call is out for anyone who would like to participate with us in this area.  That's the beauty of this kind of formatic development in that we may find outside voice and air talent that will provide even more creative ideas as to how to craft this format than we could do ourselves.  It will be a format we can also support through our Segue City programming and through in-house syndication."
