CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Oct. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- The Northwest Cape Coral Neighborhood Association (NWNA) will meet on Thursday, November 3, 2016. The program will begin with the annual election of officers, followed by two speakers—Cape Coral Fire Chief Donald Cochran and historical researcher and author Graham Segger.

Chief Cochran will discuss plans for Cape Coral's new Fire Station #11 at Burnt Store Road and Tropicana Parkway. Author Segger will introduce his book entitled, "Where Do We Live?" based on his research of early 1800's legend of Burnt Store. His book explores a wide range of subjects of interest to local residents, including the likely location of the store, the development history of the area, the conservation lands that surround us, and early Charlotte Harbor commerce.

The meeting is open to the public and media. It will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Christa McAuliffe Elementary Charter School located at 2817 SW 3rd Lane, Cape Coral, FL 33991. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for sign-in, networking and membership renewals.

NWNA was formed by area residents in 2002 to provide an open forum for discussion of issues of general importance to Northwest Cape Coral residents and landowners. To be eligible for membership, members must reside or own property within the City of Cape Coral and be located north of Pine Island Rd. and west of El Dorado Blvd. For more information visit http://www.nwcape.com or email nwna@nwcape.com.
