Rev. Dr. Nancy Young, appointed as Interim Pastor at The First Presbyterian Church of Iselin NJ

ISELIN, N.J. - Oct. 26, 2016 - PRLog -- The First Presbyterian Church of Iselin, Iselin, New Jersey, located at 1295 Oak Tree Road, Iselin, New Jersey, has announced the appointment of Interim Pastor, Rev. Dr. Nancy Young.

Dr. Young received her Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and her Doctor of Ministry from McCormick Theological Seminary. She also holds a Master of Music in vocal music from the University of Maryland.  She is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and has served churches in Fargo, North Dakota and Midland, Michigan and served on the national General Assembly Mission Council staff at the Presbyterian Center in Louisville, KY, as the Coordinator for Women's Leadership Development and Racial-Ethnic Schools and Colleges. She is also an oblate of Our Lady of Grace, a Benedictine community in Indianapolis, and serves Newton Presbytery on the Committee for Preparation and on the Board of Trustees.

Dr. Young has training as a coach for pastors, and has served as the transitional pastor at the First Presbyterian Church of Franklin, NJ and at the Wharton Community Church in Wharton, NJ.

"I look forward to serving as a mentor, and helping the congregation with its mission and vision as they work toward defining a strong, positive worship experience that serves not only their congregation, but their surrounding community," said Dr. Young.

She is married to the Rev. David E. Young, who is the pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Newton. Nancy and David are the parents of three adult children: Adam, Micah and Molly.
