Reflecting his design philosophy of poetry, beauty and simplicity, the newest boutique features two AD Collections – its AD WOMAN and AD MAN – and its line of signature accessories.  All exuding Domínguez's impeccable signature design in a choice of soulful materials, clothes – both daywear and eveningwear – and accessories "match today's pace of life without losing their essence: simple poetry". The designer's 2016 Black and White Collection features "casual looks, for the vast minority"… a market the designer defines as "intellectually refined".

The global designer fashion label was founded in Spain by Adolfo Domínguez in the 1970s that through five decades has developed a renowned international reputation in the fashion industry for quality and elegance. With its flagship boutique in Madrid, Spain, the brand has points of sale in 50 countries (including Venezuela, France, United Kingdom, Thailand, Australia, Colombia, Trinidad and Tobago), with only two in the United States -- both in South Florida -- with additional distribution channels, including e-commerce. The Adolfo Domínguez brand designs, manufactures and distributes a broad range of women's and men's ready-to-wear products and accessories. Eyewear and fragrances are manufactured and distributed under license.

In strategic expansion, designer Adolfo Domínguez chose South Florida as the brand's entry destination in the United States.

"Following suit with our boutique locations around the globe residing in fashion-sophisticated luxury shopping markets, we are very excited to bring our second boutique to Boca Raton as the social and holiday season begins," noted Adolfo Domínguez. "The next step in consolidating our presence in Florida is the opening of Brickell City Center in the coming weeks."

U By Adolfo Dominguez Creative Director Tiziana Dominguez, the designer's daughter, will host the boutique's official grand opening "Taste of Spain" reception and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Also attending will be the Adolfo Domínguez South Florida executive team is Operations and General Manager and Expansion Manager Gabriela Corominas and Commercial Manager Carlos E. Lopez-Alvarez.

The AD WOMEN Fall/Winter Collection Inclines Toward The "Casual And Functional", A Return To The Label's Signature DNA

According to Domínguez, the AD WOMEN Fall/Winter Collection captures the essence of the brand's personality. Domínguez refers to it as a poetic rendition of the essentials, wardrobe staples and a nod to the 90s from where the minimalist aesthetic has been extracted and refreshed. The Knitwear is all-embracing, working on both sides of the fabric with masculine and English tailoring details: wool cloth, flannel, Prince of Wales check, herringbone and Harris tweed. Eveningwear is peppered with lamé, Lurex, burnout fabrics, taffeta and chiffon. The on-trend touch is provided by the patent leather, pony-skin, fleece and Mongolian goat on eco-leather.

Stylish pieces such as capes, bodices, long waistcoats, pinafores and Spencer jackets are set to become the key garments. Silhouettes favor layering and the combining of different lengths. Asymmetrical hemlines, sleeves and necklines are present. References to the masculine wardrobe and the sports-look trend are also in evidence.

Every temperature of the color range is visible: cool shades such as ice and light grey darken as the season advances to be combined with touches of camel, blue and pale pink. Warm shades feature on backgrounds of anthracite grey, black and navy, while military green, in various degrees of saturation, gains prominence. Signature prints, where the trembling of the fingers can be discerned, remain present. This time with Oriental-inspired floral themes on gauzes, chiffons and georgette.

The AD MEN Collection Is Designed For The "Socially And Ecologically Aware" Man Who Wears His Clothes Like A Second Skin

Domínguez reports that this season's collection is abundant with artisanal and bohemian themes, with the vintage influence observable on items such as pants and tailored garments. Relaxed looks and deconstructed silhouettes once again become the epitome of the brand style.

Rejuvenated takes on 50s and 70s nostalgia make an appearance: knitted fabric tailoring with pinstripes and collarless shirts. Garments treading a stylish line between classic and casual for a relaxed yet well turned out look. Alpaca and merino wool garments are the heroes of the limited edition collections, while the sports look is gaining ground with super-lightweight garments crafted from technical fabrics and tiered items for a layered look.

The color palette journeys between icy shades (greys, indigo, nudes, sky blue and white),and earthy and more intense hues (burgundies, khakis and navies). Black appears in blocks, enhanced with textures.

The Evolution Of The Adolfo Domínguez Brand

"The way we dress is a part of the person we show others," shares Domínguez. "I studied Art and Film in Paris during the golden decade of the Beatles, the musical "Hair" and that controversial month of May '68 dominated my experience. Meanwhile in Spain there was inflexibility everywhere; entire generations caught up in a web of corsets and fears. The rigid social order permeated every aspect of reality. Fashion exhibited collective values, not individual ones."

On his return home to Spain, Domínguez said he worked hard to change the situation. "Crinkles and wrinkles all bear witness to the passage of time, the stories that we tell and those we do not," he added. "Reluctantly, we wear the map of our lives etched upon our features. Clothing as a second skin. This honesty of our disposition inspired our early slogan 'Wrinkles are beautiful'."

The entrepreneur and designer remains faithful to his aesthetic principles, to creating clothing with poetry. Adolfo Domínguez is still at the heart of the business, which has evolved and adapted to modern times with new lines to continue meeting its client's desires. Over the years, the designer's family has gradually become involved in this project. First, he was joined by his wife Elena González, creative director of Adolfo Dominguez Mujer. Then came his daughters Adriana and Tiziana Domínguez, Area Director for Perfumes and Creative Director for U by Adolfo Domínguez respectively. The latest family member to join the business was Valeria Domínguez, director of the online branch of the business.

Committed to being socially responsible, the company established a CSR policy in 2003.

It joined then Climate Project in 2007, adopted an Ecology Manifesto in 2008 and an animal wellbeing policy (PETA) in 2010, established the Adolfo Domínguez Foundation in 2011 and began manufacturing Green Me vegan accessories in 2012.
