By: Newburyport ArtWalk The public is invited to take part in ArtWalk's free events, browse a variety of artwork in traditional and contemporary styles, shop, dine, and soak in all scenery the Port City has to offer. A free brochure/map of all venues is available at participating galleries, the Newburyport Chamber of Commerce, the passageway between State and Inn Street and at ArtWalk Partners' locations. Among the special activities planned for November's ArtWalk are: * Connor Summers Gallery: Connor Summers Gallery is featuring equestrian themed artwork by gallery owner Cathy Connor, including a new series of greeting cards. The gallery will also be showing work by Janice Updike, Marcia Hermann, Gordon Pryzbyla, Michael Updike, and Cathy Connor. Light refreshments will be served. 48 Market Street, Newburyport * Sweethaven Gallery: "Three Photographers – Three Journeys" is on display from Nov. 2 – Nov. 27. George Disario, Bobby Schatz and Frank Siteman first met in Rockport, Maine and this is the first time in their 30 + year friendship that their work has hung side by side. Meet the artists and hear their stories and enjoy light refreshments at the opening reception during ArtWalk from 1–6 p.m. 25L Inn Street, Newburyport * Indigo Artist Studio/Alan Bull Studio: "10" is number to celebrate at Indigo Artist Studio this November. Studio artist Mary Arthur Pollak will feature new and revisited monotypes exhibited over the last 10 years at Indigo. In addition, "10 Trucks," a preview of Alan Bull's oils, acrylics and miniature watercolors that will be exhibited at the Salisbury Public Library in November, will also be showcased. To celebrate this fabulous decade, a 10% discount will be given on all art during the November ArtWalk. Party fare will be served. 53 Middle St., Newburyport. * Valerie's Gallery: Meet two of our artists, fine art photographer Joan Kocak and potter Erin Moran, at the November ArtWalk from 1-5 p.m. Erin Moran makes her vibrant, colorful pottery using her hands (not wheel thrown). Joan Kocak is a former graphic designer who is enchanted with all forms of photography – analog, digital, toy cameras, and alternative process.
