Follow on Google News | Pago Premium Fruit Juice teams up with Weston Park Cancer CharitySouth Yorkshire based business, Premium Beverages Ltd has announced an agreement with Weston Park Cancer Charity in Sheffield, aimed at raising money for the charity organisation.
By: Pago Premium Fruit Juice Established over 125 years ago and now sold in over 30 countries, Pago offers a unique range of 14 premium fruit juices with no colourings, artificial aromas, sweeteners or preservatives and is available in flavours including orange, pear, apple, strawberry, peach and blackcurrant. Weston Park Cancer Charity is an organisation that is held close to the heart at Premium Beverages after Marvin Henshaw, the UK's sole distributor of Pago suffered from testicular cancer when he was only 23. His cousin, Craig Hall was then diagnosed with the disease and sadly passed away. While unwell, Marvin was under the care of Weston Park Hospital, which treats patients from all over South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and North Derbyshire, and is one of only a handful of specialist cancer hospitals in England. Since his recovery, Marvin and a team of amateur cyclists and ex-professional football players Jon Newsome (Sheffield Wednesday) and Dane Whitehouse (Sheffield United) have been raising funds for Weston Park Cancer Charity, and to date have raised £26,000 in the past 18 months alone. Marvin says: "My motivation to help raise money for Weston Park Cancer Charity is done in honour of my cousin and respect to the staff and specialists who helped me recover. This enabled me to live a happy life, get married & have 3 wonderful children." The campaign will be rolling out in the next few weeks with bespoke point of sale developed for hotel, café bars, food pubs and restaurants. The charity needs to raise over £2 million this year to enable the funding of committed and new projects that will keep patients at the forefront of cancer treatment. Throughout 2016 the charity will fund various projects to enable the continued improvement of Weston Park Hospital; including the expansion of research studies, improving the way cancer treatments are delivered and supporting the ongoing care provisions of patients and their families affected by cancer.
