By: Marketing research firm IndexBox
China emerged as the leader in the global supplies of amine-function compounds. In 2015, China's exports of amine-function compounds totaled 1,773 million USD, which accounted for a 21% share of global exports. The USA, Belgium, Germany, and France were the other key global suppliers of amine-function compounds in 2015, with a 45% combined share of global exports.
France (+28.5% per year) and China (+8.9% per year) were the fastest growing exporters from 2007 to 2015. China significantly strengthened its position in the global export structure, growing its share from 11% in 2007 to 21% in 2015.
On the other hand, Germany (12%, based on value terms), USA (8%), Belgium (8%), China (7%), and Japan (7%) were the leading destinations of amine-function compound imports in 2015. Imports to the USA grew at a rate of +4.5% per year from 2007 to 2015. By contrast, Belgium slightly contracted its imports of amine-function compounds over the same period. All of the major importers maintained relatively stable shares of global imports over the period from 2007 to 2015, sustaining only minor fluctuations of 1 to 2 percentage points.
