The alliance is designed to provide the world's largest passenger transportation fleets and manufacturers with a connected vehicle solution between authorities, dispatchers, drivers and passengers. This unique platform enables better communication and planning, providing a more reliable and safe service to passengers. TomTom BRIDGE is a hardware platform that seamlessly connects business applications with TomTom technology. Traffilog's Telematics technology, combined with the TomTom BRIDGE, has created a single platform for better communication between drivers, the company and the vehicles, streamlining communications to enhance the fleet's efficiency. This includes messaging directly from an on-vehicle app, electronic collection of accident details, inspections and defects reports, as well as live and historic information on driver performance. Sebastien Ruffino, VP B2B Sales, TomTom BRIDGE, said: "The TomTom BRIDGE platform was designed from the ground-up to deliver TomTom's core competencies: The on-board Traffilog system, running on the TomTom BRIDGE platform, connects drivers with the vehicle and the environment. It provides real-time alerts from the vehicle, driving performance reports and communication with the company HQ and service centres. The system acts as a paperless report centre for vehicle checks and other important activities. It also includes points of interest loaded with pre-defined locations of importance such as company offices, depots, customer sites, and many more. Fuel improvements of more than 10% are typical through improved driver performance. Further to this, companies are able to significantly improve compliance whilst reducing the operational demands of completing and managing outdated paper-based systems. By including vehicle health and servicing within the same solution, even greater savings can be obtained. Yon Copitch - Managing Director Traffilog (http://website.traffilog.com/ End
