ATS Group secures supply contract with the new Nat'l Museum of African American History & Culture

CAMDEN, N.J. - Oct. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- ATS Group, LLC (ATSG) has secured a supply contract with the newly opened and long-awaited Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC), located in the nation's capital, Washington, D.C. The company was selected to furnish several executive offices and visitor spaces within the museum, including the Oprah Winfrey Theatre. The project will commence in late November 2016.

The Museum tells the story of the African and African American experience in America through 3000 objects, 12 exhibitions, 13 interactives, and 183 videos in a 5-floor, 400,000 square foot three-tiered bronze building.  In addition to the 85,000 square feet of exhibition space, the Museum houses a Café and Museum Shop.

About the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture

The National Museum of African American History and Culture, which opened to the public on September 24, 2016, is the 19th and newest museum of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. It is the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture.  The Museum was established by Act of Congress in 2003, following decades of efforts to promote and highlight the contributions of African Americans.
